The Saudi Council of Engineers continues to organize its engineering and professional forums in various regions of the Kingdom, which comes from its keenness to improve services and raise performance rates through direct and continuous communication with the owners of offices and engineering companies and their employees, as part of the Authority’s plan for periodic communication with This important sector and its workers, in addition to workers in the building and construction sector.
This was explained by Engineer Abdel Nasser bin Saif Al-Abdullatif, Secretary General of the Authority and Deputy Chairman of His Excellency the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code, indicating that the Authority organized four forums with the participation of the coordination committees in the cities of Tabuk, Abha, Al-Ahsa, and Taif, and these forums will continue in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, as the Authority is preparing to organize Its engineering and professional forums are held in the cities of Najran and Hail, in addition to some other cities.
The Secretary-General added that these forums aim to introduce the services provided by the Authority, and introduce the system of engineering offices, control and inspection, and the list of violations for engineering offices, in addition to introducing the system of issuing licenses and supervising buildings and visual distortions in cities, in addition to introducing the work provided by the coordination committees and engineering chapters in the body, as well as introducing the Authority and the services and activities it provides to graduates of engineering colleges, along with an explanation of the mechanism for registering engineers, technicians, and engineering students in the Authority.
Engineer Abdel Nasser stressed that these forums aim to present the Authority’s strategic plan, initiatives and programs. They also aim to enhance work with engineers, office owners and companies, introduce them to development plans, open channels of communication with its various stakeholders, and learn about their opinions and suggestions.
The Secretary-General also expressed his thanks to the participants for their interest in attending these forums, as their number reached about 370 engineers, stressing that these meetings are considered one of the most effective channels for listening to their comments and striving to strengthen communication relations with them and opening the door to constructive dialogue by renewing and updating the most effective channels in ensuring communication and to learn about their different needs and development comments to ensure that services are improved and provided in the best way, clarifying that through these forums, the needs of offices and engineering companies are documented and development plans are drawn up in the General Secretariat of the Authority to serve this sector.
