I changed my profession at the labor office a week ago. When I went to the General Directorate of Passports to finalize the career change procedures, it appeared that I am not a member of SCE.

After changing the profession at the labor office to an engineer, the engineer must log in to his/her profile on SCE website, click on "Apply for Membership Update at the General Directorate of Passports", and pay the update fees (SAR 100).

    • .

How to register on the website?

      • Visit the SCE website using any search engine.
      • Select the type of registration in the Professional Accreditation section (Engineering – Technician)
      • Select the nationality, then the accommodation "Iqama" Number or Borders Number (in case the Iqama Number is not issued) and fill in the rest of the fields
      • After registration, you will receive a text message containing a payment number for an amount of SAR 500, which covers the processing fee. The amount can be paid via an ATM or online using your bank's website by entering the number of the bill that will be sent to your email inbox and mobile phone. The SCE number for paying the governmental fees is 123.
      • SCE will then process the profile. If accepted, you will receive another text message containing a payment number for the remaining amount according to the selected number of years.
      • After making the payment, you can go to the General Directorate of Passports to issue an accommodation permit "Iqama".
      • The SCE will then verify the certificate and evaluate the profile. Upon the final acceptance, you can apply for the certificate and the card.

    • .

I cannot update my Iqama although the membership is still valid.

You must request your Iqama to be linked with the General Directorate of Passports as your file still contains the Borders Number. You must log in to your profile and change the Borders Number to the Iqama Number you received. Linking Iqama with the General Directorate of Passports should be carried out annually.

    • .

I updated my data by mistake and received a new invoice. How to discard such invoice?

An engineer can delete the request from his/her profile and the bill will be discarded.

    • .

After my final exit, I came back to Saudi Arabia on an engineering visa. Should I re-register for Iqama, taking into consideration that I used to have a membership that has expired?

You do not have to re-register. Log in to your account and change the old Iqama Number to the new Borders Number, even if the membership has expired. However, you should apply for membership renewal so as not to pay the academic qualification verification fees.

    • .

I was granted a free membership. Now I want to change the free membership to a regular one.

Submit a request to change the free membership to a regular membership through your profile. This will cost SAR 1250.

    • .

I forgot the username and the password.

Go to the SCE website, then "e-services", and then "Professional Accreditation". You will find an icon for log-in data recovery. Click on it. You will have multiple options for recovery. Select your preferred method (e.g. ID number) and your data will be sent to your mobile phone or the registered email, according to your preference.

    • .

      How to apply for renewal?

Log in to your profile and click on the renewal icon, and then send the application. Additional documents may be required during renewal even if such documents were provided during the registration stage, in accordance with the procedures taken by the registration department at SCE.

    • .

How to apply for a promotion (classification)?

Log in to your account and click on the "Apply for Classification" icon, if available, then sent the application. Experience certificates are required for each grade selected as follows:

Professional Engineer: documented professional experience not less than 8 years, certified by an official body

Consultant Engineer: documented professional experience not less than 16 years, certified by an official body

    • .

      Can I delete the profile?

If you are newly registered and have not paid any fees yet, you can delete your profile.

    • .

    • .

      How to add attachments?

You can add up to 3 new attachments by visiting the main attachments page. If you have any problems adding the attachments, call us on the Unified Number and we will help solve any problems for you.

Log in to your profile then go to the print requests on the applicant's personal page.

    • .

If a certain field is not accepted by SCE and I want to change the profession, do I have to register with SCE and attach the Provisional Acceptance Letter or should I go directly to the labor office to change the profession without registering with SCE?

If you have an engineer visa with no engineering certificate, you will be provided with the Provisional Acceptance Letter. If you have a valid engineer Iqama with no engineering certificate, you can change the profession directly with no need to refer to SCE. If the Iqama is expired, you must register with SCE and attach the Provisional Acceptance Letter in order to change the profession after renewing your Iqama as an engineer.

    • .

When can I apply for membership renewal?

Three months before the expiry of the membership. An engineer can apply for a membership renewal via the personal profile.

    • .

I paid the renewal fees; do I have to update my data at the General Directorate of Passports so that I can renew the Iqama?

After paying the renewal fees, the membership is renewed and the data is updated at the General Directorate of Passports automatically. No need to re-update the data.

    • .

The final approval is delayed, and the option to print the certificate and the card does not appear.

This may be due to omissions in documents, difficulties in communicating with the university, or because the applicant did not reply to the email sent to him/her.

    • .

I applied and paid for a certificate and a card, when will I receive the certificate?

The application is usually processed within 3-10 working days.
    • .

I am an engineer with an old and expired membership. When searching, no data is found for such membership. What is the procedure in this case?
