The Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allah protect him, has approved the appointment of Engineer Ahmed bin Taris Al-Sheikh, a member of the Saudi Engineers Authority Board, as the Chairman of the Board. Additionally, Engineer Ali bin Hadi Rajhi has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Board, following their nomination by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, which supervises the Authority and is responsible for nominating the Chairman and Vice Chairman from among the members, with their appointments being issued by an order from the Prime Minister.
The Board of the Saudi Engineers Authority has been formed for its eighth term, lasting three years, with ten members representing various sectors. Among them, five members were elected through voting, while five others were appointed. The Board includes Dr. Sumaya bint Suliman Al-Suliman representing the Ministry of Culture, Engineer Tarek bin Ziad Al-Shami representing the Ministry of Transport, Logistics, and Social Development, Engineer Ali bin Hadi Rajhi representing the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Ahmed bin Taris Al-Sheikh as a member with expertise, Engineer Majid bin Mohammed Al-Dhahwi representing the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Omar bin Mastour Al-Anzi as an elected member, Engineer Badr bin Abdul Latif Bousbait as an elected member, Engineer Eissa bin Hamid Al-Hameeri as an elected member, Engineer Majid bin Al-Humaidi Al-Mutairi as an elected member, and Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Saad Al-Qarni as an elected member.
The Chairman and members of the Board of the Saudi Engineers Authority express their gratitude and profound appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may Allah preserve them—for their support of the engineering sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They affirm that this new formation is part of the efforts provided by our wise government to achieve ambitious goals and aspirations that contribute to the growth and development of the engineering profession, its affiliates, and the engineering sector, enhancing the progress of various engineering and technical sectors to empower national engineers, specialists, and technicians, along with qualifying and raising the capabilities of students in engineering disciplines.
The Chairman and members of the Board also commend the efforts of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hoqail, for his ongoing interest and efforts to develop the engineering sector and its affiliates, as well as for his commitment to ensuring the success of the Authority's work and its endeavors aimed at the profession's development and the sustainability of the engineering sector in the Kingdom.
