The CEO of the Roads Authority Discusses Integration and Cooperation with the Engineers Authority

His Excellency Engineer Badr bin Abdullah Al-Dulami, CEO of the General Authority for Roads, received a delegation from the Saudi Council of Engineers at his office in Riyadh. The delegation included Engineer Tariq bin Ziyad Al-Shami, a board member of the council and Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics for Road Operation and Maintenance, Engineer Abdul Mohsen bin Dawai Al-Majnouni, the Secretary-General, and several members of the council.

During the visit, Engineer Abdul Mohsen Al-Majnouni emphasized the importance of integration between the two authorities, discussing ways of mutual cooperation in the road sector and user safety. He explained that the meeting focused on enhancing engineering work that connects the two entities, especially given the significant presence of national, Arab, and international expertise in this field.

The visit also included a presentation on the strategic plan project of the Saudi Council of Engineers and the role of the General Authority for Roads in supporting this project. The focus was on the importance of supporting Saudi engineers and providing services that align with global developments to enhance the excellence of engineering establishments in the Kingdom and ensure the sustainability of the engineering sector. The presentation also clarified the role of the Saudi Council of Engineers in protecting the profession, the importance of registration and professional classification for engineers, specialists, and technicians to regulate the practice of engineering professions, in addition to explaining the system of practicing engineering professions and its executive regulations, professional tests, and training and development programs aimed at qualifying engineering cadres technically and knowledgeably. The role of the council in monitoring and inspection to ensure compliance of establishments and engineers with regulations and the application of required standards was also emphasized.

At the end of the visit, the Secretary-General expressed his thanks and appreciation to the CEO of the General Authority for Roads for his continuous support to the council, confirming that this visit contributes to enhancing mutual cooperation to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030. It is an important step towards enhancing communication and integration between the concerned entities to achieve sustainable development
