Engineer Abdul Mohsen Al-Majnouni Appointed as Secretary-General of the Saudi Engineers Authority

Abdul Mohsen Al-Majnouni has been appointed as the Secretary-General of the Saudi Engineers Authority.

The official spokesperson for the Authority, Engineer Saleh Al-Omar, stated that the new appointment of the Secretary-General represents an important strategic step towards developing and enhancing the role of the Authority in supporting the engineering sector. The aim is to benefit from his expertise to achieve common goals and accomplishments in serving engineering and society.

Al-Omar noted that the new Secretary-General holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University in the United States and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

He has held several leadership positions in the fields of engineering, technology, industry, and petrochemicals, most notably serving as the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Oil and Gas at the Saudi Public Investment Authority, as well as working as a consultant at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. He is also a founding member of the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority.

Al-Majnouni has also served as the CEO of the Research Products Development Company and the Chief Operating Officer at the Saudi Technical Development and Investment Company (Taqnia).

He has numerous professional contributions, including chairing the Saudi section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for over 13 years and presiding over the first Middle East Conference on Process Engineering.
