The Saudi Council of Engineers has awarded honorary membership to His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, in recognition of his pioneering and distinguished efforts in developing the engineering sector in the Kingdom. This honor reflects the Council's deep appreciation for the Minister's significant contributions and his continuous support in enhancing the quality and efficiency of engineering practices, which greatly contributes to the advancement and progress of the engineering sector in the Kingdom.
During his official visit to the Council's headquarters, His Excellency expressed his ongoing support and commitment to developing the engineering sector in the Kingdom, emphasizing the importance of strengthening communication and collaboration to advance the housing sector through the continuous exchange of suggestions and expertise.
In this context, Engineer Ahmed bin Tarees Alsheikh, Chairman of the Saudi Council of Engineers, confirmed that the support and empowerment from the wise government leadership have contributed to the development of a well-crafted strategy for the Council. This strategy focuses on developing infrastructure and organizational frameworks, building partnerships, enhancing business development, improving service structures, increasing labor market aptitude, supporting and developing the membership service system, elevating the professional practices of members, and ensuring adherence to quality standards for professional practices.
Alsheikh added that the Council aims, through its initiatives and training programs, to build outstanding engineering competencies that contribute to the Kingdom's economic development. This is achieved by empowering professional practice for institutions and individuals and enhancing professional performance, all within the framework of striving to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
For his part, Engineer Abdul Mohsen bin Dhawi Al-Majnuni, Secretary-General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, stated that the joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Council yields several positive results.
