SCE: "The Saudi presence at the G20 summit confirms Riyadh's increasing role in the Arab and international interest

Eng. Saad Bin Mohammed Al-Shahrani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Council of Engineers praised the great and inspiring role played by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense during his leadership of the delegation of the Kingdom at the summit of G20 leaders, in the city of Osaka, Japan, in the presence of heads of states of the summit.
 
Al-Shahrani noted that the Saudi presence is an affirmation of Riyadh's increasing role in the Arab and international interest, and the new and renewing spirit witnessed by the Kingdom, led by the ambitious Prince and the architect of the Saudi Vision 2030.
 
He pointed out that the great global interest in the participation of the Kingdom in the G20 summit confirms the desire of the international community to deal with the Kingdom as a strong partner with a lot of opportunities and attractive fields and an opportunity to highlight the promising investment opportunities in various strategic sectors. It is also an opportunity to review the economic reforms that the Kingdom is undertaking to achieve to facilitate business and enable foreign investments.
 
In his remarks at the closing session of the summit, the Crown Prince reiterated Saudi Arabia's resolve to continue working for the G20. He welcomed hosting the G20 leaders next year in Saudi Arabia.
 
The summit final statement said the G20 nations "will work together to promote global economic growth."
 
The Kingdom's success in the World Competitiveness Yearbook (IMD 2019), ranking 26th, that is 13 points higher than last year, ranking seventh in the Group of 20 countries, reflects the economic development in the Kingdom. Competitiveness book relies on its assessment on measuring government efficiency, business efficiency, and infrastructure development.
