Members of the General Assembly of the Saudi Engineers Authority approved the topics presented by the Board of Directors, which included the annual report for the year 2023, the final accounts of the authority for the year 2023, the appointment of an auditor and the determination of their fees for the year 2024, the update of the executive regulations of the authority's system, and the rules of operation for the Board of Directors. This took place during the twentieth ordinary general assembly meeting, which was held virtually on the evening of Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Engineer Abdul Mohsen Al-Majnooni, Secretary General of the Saudi Engineers Authority, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all those who attended and contributed to the success of this meeting from among the engineers, emphasizing that this meeting serves as a roadmap for the work of the Board of Directors and the General Secretariat for the year 2024, which will commence from this day following the approval of the members of the General Assembly on the executive regulations of the authority's system and the rules of operation for the Board of Directors, in addition to the appointment of an auditor for the year 2024. The executive regulations of the authority's system and the rules of operation for the Board of Directors represent the true launch of work and further efforts over the coming years, God willing.
The Secretary General stated that the success of this general assembly meeting and the approval of its key members from the engineers regarding the proposed topics reflect their interest and continuous support for the continuation of the success achieved by the authority. He added that the Board of Directors is keen to plan and work towards a new phase and journey with new and modern visions and strategies to keep pace with the rapid developments the nation is experiencing in all fields, including the engineering field with all its specializations and works, to reach a developed and significant stage in the authority's history. This is in light of the support and interest of our wise leadership in the authority and their desire for its development and progress, which has been demonstrated through the approval of the appointment of a president and a vice president of the Board of Directors.
Additionally, the amendment of Article Sixteen of the authority's system stipulated that the Board of Directors consists of key members elected by the General Assembly, along with engineering members representing several government entities, as ordered by the Prime Minister, based on the nomination of His Excellency Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hoqail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, who supervises the Saudi Engineers Authority. We extend our sincere thanks to him for his continuous support for the authority. This support and change will undoubtedly have a significant impact, providing the authority with more strength and powers, which will motivate it to move forward in the new journey of development and transformation that we aspire to within the authority, and that every engineer in this dear nation seeks, aligning with the requirements of the new phase and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
