The International Engineering Conference discusses the next engineering wave within the development of four engineering courses
Former Egyptian Prime Minister: The engineer excelling locally, gives him the transit ticket to the regional and then to the international.
Al-Baqawi: The largest engineering gathering in the Kingdom is attended by 96 speakers and 16 sessions in the second day.

The activities of the International Engineering Conference & Exhibition, which was organized by the Saudi Council of Engineers, continued on the second day on Tuesday, in the presence of the largest gathering of Saudi engineers in the Kingdom. The Chairman of the Saudi Council of Engineers, Dr. Jamil bin Jarallah Al-Bekaawi, explained that the conference has held 16 sessions that dealt with the latest technology in Safety and Inspection Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Water Desalination, Architecture and Urban Heritage.

According to Al-Bekaawi, the conference was attended by 96 speakers who presented their papers in the fields of fire protection and safety engineering, safety engineering management, quality of project facilities, operation and construction safety. They discussed transportation, structural engineering, geospatial data, water and structural engineering. Also, they covered the supply chain, industrial processes, quality management, design and modeling of manufacturing. The papers shed light on the urban and technological heritage, standards, rules and regulations related to it and the future of architectural design and solutions providing affordable housing and the Saudi vision 2030.

The conference was attended by four keynote speakers, led by former Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Essam Abdulaziz Sharaf, who said in a statement that: "I am very happy to be present at the conference and I thank the organizers, the Saudi Council of Engineers for its hospitality and good organization." He added that the conference is very important and that the Engineering is the profession of transforming dreams into facts and transforming ideas into reality on earth to serve mankind in all directions.
In his presentation on civil engineering and survey, in a Paper entitled "Road / non-technical subject in geometric style", Sharaf said that there is a new wave of engineering coming from the world’s need for change. He pointed out that the world today needs to be saved from great confusion and change to reach cooperation and common development and cultures, so that globalization is more merciful. He pointed out that the role of the new engineering is in the giant projects that bring together countries and the general sense of the peoples of the world under common interest.

Sharaf pointed out that the mega projects are small parts. In order to reach a bigger dream, there must be small dreams. The new world needs great dreams. The giant development starts from the localities. The local engineer rises to the regional and international levels. There is no escape from getting the local engineer to excellence so that cooperation is at the highest level.
Eng. Salem Al-Huraish, General Manager, Advisory Services Department at Aramco, participated with a paper on the role of engineering in development and the role of Aramco in it. He focused on three axes, namely; the importance of developing engineering standards, upgrading the digital and using nanotechnology to address many problems and contribute to increasing demand for Saudi oil. He lauded the role of a large number of Saudi engineers who have helped develop Aramco's construction code program.
Fire Protection Research Specialist, Paul River spoke about fire protection engineering, pointing out the importance of thinking about what the fire would do to protect the buildings and provide adequate precautions and not rely solely on the application of the code. He also expressed his admiration for the Saudi Council of Engineers efforts in upgrading their work. Which is considered a milestone and he called upon the Saudi Council of Engineers to continue such efforts every year.

On the subject of Industrial Engineering and Water Desalination, Al-Zamil Industrial Company CEO,  Abdullah Mohammed Al-Zamil said that the industrial engineering is a tool and a science for achieving productivity and efficiency, in addition to its importance in applying a lot of engineering tools, analytical and experimental methods and computer systems to carry out analytical and design studies for industrial and service systems and their operation.
